Frequently asked questions
How much does Ritualio cost?
Ritualio is free for one child with one routine. Premium lifts all limits (unlimited children, routines, rewards, puzzles, full statistics history). You see the price directly in the app.
How do I cancel Premium?
You manage the subscription entirely via the App Store (Apple) or Google Play — you can cancel there anytime, effective at the end of the current period. We have no access to your payment data.
What data does Ritualio collect about my children?
Only what you create yourselves: name/nickname, chosen color and the routine data. No tracking, no ads, no sharing. All data is stored on servers in Germany. Details in the privacy policy.
On how many devices can I use Ritualio?
As many as you like. One family account syncs all devices — iOS and Android mixed.
Does Ritualio work offline?
Yes. The app stores everything locally and syncs automatically as soon as a connection is available again.
How do I delete my account?
Directly in the app under Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes all of your family’s data from our servers.
Isn't a reward system just bribery?
Not when it's built like a proper behavioral reinforcement plan — which is exactly what Ritualio does. The reward follows a clearly defined behavior consistently, it's agreed in advance instead of negotiated in the moment, and you approve every single completion. That's the difference from bribery: bribery negotiates bad behavior away on the spot; a reinforcement plan rewards good behavior that was agreed on beforehand — transparent and the same for everyone.
Do kids get dependent on the rewards?
That's a fair concern, and one that behavioral science takes seriously — it's also why Ritualio is built on more than just coins. Your child sees their own progress through streaks and trophies, decides for themselves when to redeem coins, and builds real self-efficacy through the routine's fixed structure. Experts also recommend gradually phasing out rewards once a routine sticks — in Ritualio you can do exactly that, by lowering coin values or running a routine reward-free once it's become a genuine habit.
